The Clutch module is a dual sample player designed specifically for creating dynamic hi-hat sounds via its intuitive interface. You can save up to 8x16 banks of hats from a memory card!
With two layers of samples, Clutch allows you to blend built-in hits with a library of sample pairs hosted on a memory card. The controls for the card-based samples are straightforward to use and navigate.
The second layer is accessed via assignable knobs and is intentionally inaccessible via CV; it is possible to crossfade between these layers.
This ensures that while you are modulating your sound on Layer A, Layer B remains steady.
A CV Disable switch lets you instantly cut modulation and return to the sound defined by your current knob positions. Perfect for drastic changes in your live sets!
It has onboard effects, and a granular synth inspired 'Feel' control. This helps your hi-hats to groove, adding movement, character and dynamics.
