Granulita Versio is a granular chord resynthesizer for the Versio platform. Its unique granular algorithm turns simple audio inputs into lush and controllable chords.
Granulita gives you control over harmony, grains, and more. Blend through 16 different choices of chords/intervals and a Voice parameter that sets the note that tracks the input. The unquantized Pitch control acts as an offset for the entire resynthesizer: detune or transpose the output to create dissonant atmospheres, even more drastic harmonies, or ominous movement and vibrato. Grain count and length are parameterized to help you shape the sound you seek. The Verb control adds some shimmery atmosphere a la our unique take on reverb. And because it’s a Versio, the comprehensive controls are CV-able. For even more granular goodness, the gate input and corresponding Hit button can be configured to freeze grain playback, sync grain timing to an external clock, or fire grain playback from an external trigger source.
